For Antonia and Moritz, a sophisticated couple from the United States, the goal was to create a wedding that felt like a timeless poem. They sought a destination that carried the weight of Italian history but breathed with the light, airy energy of a modern romance. IWP Italian Wedding Planners (part of the Sposiamovi group) designed a celebration on July 23, 2022, at La Torre di San Marco—a 14th-century Venetian tower that serves as one of the most exclusive and “cinematic” landmarks in Northern Italy.

The aesthetic was a masterclass in “Soft & Dreamy Minimalism,” where the focus remained on the raw beauty of the stone architecture and the shimmering expanse of the water, enhanced by a design that felt light, translucent, and profoundly romantic.

The Setting: An Icon of the Serenissima on the Lake

La Torre di San Marco offers a unique architectural dialogue between the naval power of ancient Venice and the Belle Époque glamour of the lake district. For American couples who appreciate “Stealth Wealth” and authentic character, this venue is a treasure. Its private pier, circular stone walls, and lush gardens provide a sense of “enclosed intimacy” that is rare for such a monumental site.

The day began with a traditional Catholic ceremony, honoring the couple’s values within the context of Italy’s deep spiritual heritage. The transition from the sacredness of the rite to the “Soft & Dreamy” celebration at the tower allowed for a narrative arc that was both solumn and vibrantly joyful.

Design Concept: Minimalist Clouds & Luminous Light

The creative direction focused on “Visual Weightlessness,” ensuring the design felt like an extension of the lake breeze.

• The Floral Narrative: Alessandro Piacenza (Fiore All’Occhiello) executed a concept of “Botanical Clouds.” Using a delicate palette of ivory and ethereal textures, the floral design softened the tower’s rugged stone walls, creating a romantic contrast that looked as if it were floating in the natural light of a July afternoon.
• The Beauty Brief: Veronica Tavella curated a look for Antonia that was the definition of “Timeless Radiance”—a luminous, soft aesthetic designed to look effortless from the sun-drenched garden aperitif to the moonlit dinner.
• A Palette of Dreams: Every detail, from the minimalist tablescapes to the precisely placed candlelight, was chosen to reflect the “Soft & Dreamy” brief, ensuring the tower felt like a glowing sanctuary as the sun set over the horizon.

Gastronomy & The Swing of the Riviera

A wedding at La Torre di San Marco is a multi-sensory journey through the Italian “Dolce Vita.” The culinary program focused on high-end regional excellence, served alfresco under the historic shadows of the tower.

• The Soundtrack: The atmosphere was curated to reflect the couple’s sophisticated tastes. Italian Swing Frequency provided a soulful, retro-chic soundtrack for the ceremony and aperitif, evoking the glamour of mid-century Italy.
• The Celebration: As night fell, the energy shifted into a contemporary party vibe led by 1st Class Entertainment, transforming the historic grounds into the lake’s most exclusive private lounge.

To document a wedding of this visual and emotional scale, we collaborated with the legendary Lisa Poggi. Her photography is world-renowned for its editorial composition and its ability to capture “The Feel” of a moment rather than just the image. Her work at La Torre di San Marco highlights the monumental scale of the architecture while maintaining a laser focus on the intimate, “Soft & Dreamy” connection between Antonia and Moritz, resulting in a gallery that is both an heirloom and a high-fashion documentary.
