The Vision: A Contemporary Homage to Sicilian Heritage

For Claudia and Chris, a discerning couple from the United States, Sicily was not just a destination but a mood. They sought an experience that captured the “Drama” of the island—the interplay of light and shadow, the scent of ancient vineyards, and the weight of history. IWP Italian Wedding Planners (part of the Sposiamovi group) designed a celebration on June 24, 2023, that felt like a contemporary revival of a classic Sicilian cinematic masterpiece.

The aesthetic was “Vintage Inspired,” leaning into the soulful, unrefined elegance of the 18th-century feudo, while maintaining the high-gloss finish of a modern fashion editorial.

The Setting: High-Fashion Heritage in the Heart of Sicily

Feudi del Pisciotto is one of Sicily’s most prestigious wine estates, known globally for its “Wine and Fashion” project. The property centers around the “Palmento”—the largest and best-preserved historic wine-pressing structure on the island. For American couples who value “Stealth Wealth” and authentic heritage, this venue offers a narrative that is both rugged and elite.

The symbolic ceremony was held amidst the sweeping views of the estate, where the golden Sicilian sun provided a natural spotlight for the couple. For Claudia and Chris, the “Sea View” and the rolling landscape of the interior provided a sense of absolute exclusivity—a private sanctuary far removed from the crowded coastal resorts.

Design Concept: Dramatic Shadows & Artisanal Grandeur

The creative direction focused on enhancing the castle-like atmosphere of the estate with a dramatic, vintage-inspired palette.

• The Floral Narrative: Fiorelli4allevents created a concept that prioritized movement and “Dramatic” textures. Using local botanical elements and rich, seasonal blooms, the floral design appeared to grow out of the historic stone walls, creating a lush, organic contrast to the weathered architecture.
• Bespoke Calligraphy: My Elizabeth Rocha Calligraphy provided a layer of artisanal sophistication. The hand-crafted stationery and signage acted as a tribute to the estate’s noble past, introducing guests to the weekend’s high-editorial tone.
• Curated Tablescapes: The reception featured high-end rentals from Geni Maison, creating a dining experience in the courtyard that felt like a private gala for a noble Sicilian family.

Gastronomy & The Art of the Feast

A Sicilian wedding is a celebration of the land. The culinary program focused on elevated regional excellence, culminating in a bespoke creation by Cake Designer Letizia Disca, whose work acted as a sculptural centerpiece for the evening’s festivities.

The soundtrack was equally curated to reflect the “Vintage Inspired” brief:

• The Atmosphere: The Dammen Quartet provided a sophisticated, classical soundtrack that echoed through the stone archways of the Palmento, creating an atmosphere of timeless romance.
• The Energy: As the moon rose over the vineyards, the energy shifted into a contemporary celebration, blending the island’s soulful rhythm with the sophisticated expectations of a high-net-worth international guest list.

To document a wedding of this dramatic and fashion-forward scale, we collaborated with Zach Barron.
