For Francesca and Jay, an Italo-American couple, the wedding was a homecoming. They sought a destination that combined the world-class culinary heritage of Piedmont with a sense of “Romantic Emotion”—a place where the landscape tells a story of tradition and slow-living. IWP Italian Wedding Planners (Sposiamovi group) designed a celebration at Relais Sant’Uffizio that focused on the greenery of the Italian countryside and the deep connections between their two cultures.

On June 8, 2024, the rolling vineyards and hazelnut groves of Monferrato became the stage for a wedding that felt like a contemporary revival of a classic Italian summer dream.

The Setting: Monastic Charm & UNESCO Heritage

Relais Sant’Uffizio is a rare gem—a historic monastery transformed into a sanctuary of wellness and luxury. For American couples who appreciate “Old World” serenity paired with “New World” amenities, this venue is a masterpiece. The ceremony was held in the villa’s secret gardens, where the scent of blooming roses and the view of the surrounding brick arches created a private, cathedral-like atmosphere under the open sky.

The Piedmont region offers a different kind of luxury: one that is grounded in the earth, the wine, and the quiet dignity of the hills. For Francesca and Jay, it provided the perfect “Garden & Greenery” canvas for their symbolic exchange of vows.

Design Concept: Lush Botanicals & Ethereal Light

The creative direction was a tribute to the “wild elegance” of the Italian garden.

• The Floral Narrative: Figli dei Fiori brought a poetic and lush sensibility to the decor. Eschewing rigid structures, the floral design used overflowing greenery and delicate blooms that appeared to “climb” the historic monastery walls, enhancing the venue’s romantic, aged patina.
• Bespoke Production: Arteluce and Suonando Service transformed the evening reception into an ethereal gala. The use of crystal chandeliers suspended over the long imperial tables created a “fairytale-meets-fashion” aesthetic, culminating in a spectacular “cold fountain” sparkler display during the cake cutting.
• Stationery & Detail: Pink Ink Studio designed a suite that reflected the sophisticated, organic tone of the weekend—minimalist yet deeply textured, echoing the artisanal spirit of the Monferrato region.

In a move perfectly suited for the social-first generation, Francesca and Jay included a dedicated Wedding Content Creator from Content Love. To document a wedding this “Emotional,” we turned to Stefano Santucci. His ability to capture “The Decisive Moment”—that split second of raw human connection—is unparalleled.
